Rajat Barua joined the Lime Rock Partners team as a Vice President in 2007. Mr. Barua brought extensive experience in energy service company operations, oil service technology, and corporate development to the Lime Rock Partners team. Prior to joining Lime Rock, he worked at Cameron as Corporate Development Manager and as leader of the company’s marketing efforts in its Surface Systems Division. Earlier in his career, he was a field engineer for Schlumberger in the Gulf of Mexico and North Africa. Currently based in Houston, he is a graduate of McGill University (B.S.) and Harvard Business School (M.B.A.).

Since joining the Lime Rock Partners team, Mr. Barua has focused on opportunities in the E&P and energy service sectors in new international markets. Mr. Barua currently serves on the board of directors of TerraSpark Geosciences. He has been particularly involved in Lime Rock Partners’ investment in Allis-Chalmers Energy, Omni Oil Technology Holdings, Tesco, and UTEC International.
