Laricina Energy is a Calgary-based oil and gas producing company focused on the development of smaller-scale projects in the Athabasca oil sands of northern Canada. Formed in late 2005, the company seeks to use leading-edge steam assisted gravity drainage (SAGD) technology to develop a portfolio of smaller-scale oil sands development projects. The company is led by Glen Schmidt, former CEO of Deer Creek Energy.
