Lime Rock Partners Named Scotland's "Dealmaking Team of the Year"

Total Waste Management Alliance Named Management Buyout of the Year

ABERDEEN, Scotland, September 7, 2007 – Lime Rock Partners’ Aberdeen-based investment team was named the “Dealmaking Team of the Year” last night at the Scottish Business Insider’s Deals & Dealmakers Awards. The Lime Rock Partners-led management buyout of Total Waste Management Alliance, an Aberdeen-based provider of integrated waste management services to the global oil and gas industry, was also named the “Management Buyout of the Year” at the same ceremony. The awards, hosted by Scottish Business Insider and sponsored by the Royal Bank of Scotland, recognize exceptional achievement in Scotland’s corporate finance marketplace over the past year. The awards ceremony took place in front of an audience of over 800 leading figures from Scotland’s corporate community.

Lime Rock Partners Aberdeen team is led by Managing Director Lawrence Ross and includes Directors Simon Munro and Rob Willings as well as Jason Smith and Stuart Ross. Since its inception in early 2002, the team has completed 14 investments in the energy service, exploration and production, and oil service technology sectors in the U.K., Norway, France, the Netherlands, Ukraine, and Poland. In July 2007, the team exited Lime Rock Partners’ 2003 investment in PSL Energy Services with the sale of PSL to Halliburton. It has also completed three investments in 2007: C&M Group, KRI S.A., and TWMA. Lime Rock Partners’ investment in TWMA was named the buyout of the year at the Deals & Dealmakers Awards. Its investment in C&M Group, an Aberdeen-based provider of offshore accommodation solutions and other marine services, was named a runner-up in the same category.

At the ceremony, a judge highlighted the Lime Rock Partners team’s "very entrepreneurial and creative dealmaking" and noted the significant equity stakes taken by Lime Rock Partners and team’s decision to not charge transaction fees. Today, John Reynolds, a Westport, Connecticut-based Managing Director of Lime Rock Partners, echoed the congratulations. “While the creativity, flexibility, and entrepreneurial intelligence of our colleagues in Aberdeen are no secret to us, it is a treat to have it recognized at the Deals and Dealmakers Awards.”
